Depression is not an automatic requirement of aging, however if you are feeling depressed, you don't have to just live with it - get help. You can feel better.

  • Sex does not have to end on your 29th birthday - but you might slow down by your 89th birthday. 
  • Your attractiveness is only limited by your perception of yourself.
  • Romance can last forever if you let it.
  • Asking for help is a good thing.
  • Being a grandparent is different from being a parent - don't confuse the roles.
  • Hitting, yelling, denying access to funds, withholding meals, - are abusive - whether it is happening to a child or a senior.
  • Smiling at least once a day really does help. 

Every moment of a lost memory does not mean Alzheimer's - however if the following experiences seem familiar it is important to meet with your doctor to determine the cause: difficulty performing routine activities, impaired judgment, change in normal sleep patterns, disorientation and confusion. These symptoms are not inclusive and could be caused by many things - give yourself the gift of knowledge - meet with your doctor right away to determine what these symptoms mean in your life.

It is important to take advantage of the socializing options for seniors.

If you believe you're "too old" to live a full life
- you will teach those around you to believe the same thing.
